QUALITY CONTROL POLICY
Understanding the Management that Client satisfaction and continual renovation were of paramount importance a system of quality control was introduced for the whole organization.
The Hotels Poseidon,Poseidon Palace and Poseidon Playa initiated the process in 1998 and were rewarded with the Q Certificate based on the Norm UNE 182001 and which is granted by the Institute for Quality in the Spanish Hotel Industry (ICTE).
In 2000 a further step was taken due to the ever increasing importance of environmental issues and the part hotels must play. Environmental Norm UNE management procedures were introduced culminating in the award of the ISO 14001 Certificate for the 3 Poseidon hotels.
The other hotels in the company will soon follow suit.
Hoteles Devesa S.A. pursues the object of satisfying the necessities and expectations of its clients through the efficient execution of its services at the correct level and to ensure economic success and competitiveness. At the same time the company pretends to optimize the management of its resources and obtain a constant improvement in all its activities and services.

FOOD HYGIENE
The three Poseidon hotels have a Control System of Food Hygiene based on the exhaustive analysis of dangers and critical control points of all the implicated processes (A.P.P.C.C.) and through which is guaranteed the total observance of the present norm concerning all nutritional processes. In recognition of our daily efforts in this field we are holders of the award ' Excellence in Kitchen Hygiene' granted by the Health Department of the Regional Valencian Government.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Hoteles Devesa, S.A as an organization offering a variety of tourist services such as catering, lodging and others understands that a clean and healthy environment constitutes the basis of this activity and is essential for future growth.
The Management and Staff of Hoteles Devesa, S.A are dedicated to the conservation of natural resources and observe the following environmental procedures.
• To identify environmental aspects, improve them constantly and prevent contamination.
• To consider environmental questions in the design, construction and development of services.
• To comply with the applicable laws and environmental legislation.
• To control and reduce the utilization of harmful products for the environment.
In this way, the end which we persue as a company will have a multiplying effect in the homes of every employee and client of Hoteles Devesa, S.A such that, not only will we ensure that the activities of our establishments be respectful with the surroundings, but that the inhabitants of our hotels will be also.
In order to apply the principles set out in this policy we shall develop plans of action, objectives and documented environmental targets which will permit us to constantly improve our environmental behaviour. The evaluation of the effectivity of these plans and their practice will be based on periodical environmental audits and the revision by the Management of the results.
AWARDS
Qualitur is the organ of the Department of Health of the Valencian Regional Government dedicated to Quality in Tourism. It is one of the branches of the Agencia Valenciana de Turisme and is responsible for managing public funds destined to promote the various certifications possible in the tourist sector, to manage the various services within the General Secretary for Tourism and maintains a close collaboration and participation with those institutions involved with the constitution of tourism norms, brands of quality etc..
The Hotels Poseidon, Poseidon Palace and Poseidon Playa are certified with the Qualitur logo in recognition of the compromise and quest for quality which they have shown in the field of Tourism Quality and having complied with all the Qualitur exigencies.
Another award in possession of Hoteles Poseidon is that given by the provincial Board of Tourism of the County Council of Alicante for Merit in Tourism
